Firearm Transfers

Calibers handles incoming and outgoing transfers between licensed firearm dealers, including out-of-state transfers, as well as private-party transactions. Review the requirements below before arranging your transfer.

Receiving a Firearm

Complete our inbound transfer form before your firearm arrives. Calibers accepts out-of-state shipments only from licensed firearm dealers (FFLs), not private individuals. Transfer fees are due at pickup. If the form is not completed before arrival, an additional $15 processing fee applies per firearm.

Shipping a Firearm

Bring your firearm in during business hours, unpacked and unsealed so our team can inspect it. Please bring the receiving dealer’s name, address, and phone number, plus the final recipient’s name and phone number. If you want shipping insurance, provide the firearm’s value.

Outbound transfers include packing and shipping charges in addition to the transfer fee. Please allow up to 10 days after we receive your firearm for it to ship. For outbound NFA transfers, contact us before bringing in your item so we can confirm the required paperwork and fees.

Private-Party Transfers

Calibers can facilitate a firearm sale or purchase between private parties. The buyer must complete a background check before the transfer can be finalized. Contact your preferred location before visiting to confirm the process, required identification, and applicable fees.
