ON THE FIRST THURSDAY EVERY MONTH, we will be hosting the ABQ Chapter of AWOA at our Cutler location. Each meeting will have a different topic related to self defense, then we'll hit the range! The range portion is always optional... Having a good time, learning and laughing is mandatory! Every meeting includes an educational presentation and the opportunity to use the range with other members. Prospective members can attend one meeting before joining. ABOUT US
Armed Women of America is a non-profit organization that organizes local groups of women around the country that meet monthly to practice, learn, and grow as shooters. We create opportunities for women to be introduced to issues important to women shooters, learn safe gun handling skills and train together and work to expand the world of firearms to women all over the country in a safe, non-threatening way with the purpose of educating Armed, Brave, and Confident Women.
The program provides resources to women interested in learning more about gun ownership, from learning the basics to firearms training, permits, and more. Through their website and blog, Armed Women of America establishes that female gun ownership is normal, and being educated and proficient in gun handling is empowering. They want to make sure women know that, “You can be any age and carry any way and feel comfortable doing so knowing that others are out there like you.”

Our Armed Women of America training sessions are part of our larger goal of making firearms safe and accessible for everyone. When it comes to firearms and self-defense, the first steps are knowledge, experience, and state-of-mind.
